The Nakba commemorates the massacres and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their land in 1948, when 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly evicted from their land by Zionist militia groups. Many fled to Gaza. Over the last 8 months in Gaza, over 200,000 people have been displaced. Many for the tenth time. The Nakba never ended. Today it is accelerating.

Since I wrote this comic, things have become worse. Saeed's food parcels project has expanded to include digging secret wells because water supply is extremely limited. Smotrich, far-right minister and illegal settler, who openly wants to completely annex the West Bank, has been given even more power over it.

It's not enough to complain or "call out" your union. Lousy unions can be captured and dragged into militancy. And, on the flip side, fighting unions can turn to shit and become business unions. Unions are only as good as we make them.

What we now call Mother's Day was born of the anti-war movement. In 1870, Julia Ward Howe called for an annual 'Mother's Peace Day': "Our husbands shall not come to us, reeking with carnage, for caress and applause.
