Apirana Taylor, Ngāti Porou, Te Whanau a Apanui and Ngāti Ruanui, is a nationally and internationally published Māori poet, short story writer, storyteller, playwright, novelist, actor and painter. He has been a Writer-in-Residence in New Zealand schools and universities.
