Dan Hogan (they/them) is a working-class writer and public-school teacher from San Remo, NSW (Awabakal and Darkinjung Country). They currently live and work on Dharug and Gadigal Country (Sydney). Spanning poetry, non-fiction and fiction, their writing has appeared in Meanjin, Overland, Going Down Swinging, Cordite, The Suburban Review, The Guardian, Crikey, Sydney Morning Herald, ABC, The Lifted Brow and Voiceworks, among others. Dan’s poetry and prose have been recognised by the Overland Judith Wright Poetry Prize, Val Vallis Award, Woollahra Digital Literary Award, and the Wheeler Centre Next Chapter Fellowship. In their spare time, Dan runs small DIY publisher Subbed In. Dan is working on their first novel and a book of poetry.
