Spirals exist in nature and have always been here

On any given day they could be trying to legislate
that you’re not a woman.
On any given day we could be spooning in bed
archival as ammonite
the cats mirrored as new fern’s Fibonacci beside us.

On any given day they could be howling
about how we exist
too much or how we don’t exist at all.
But you
my radiant sunflower, my radial galaxy
exist in my arms every day.
