Even if you are already a subscriber, there is still lots you can do. Here are a few suggestions: Renew your subscription. Even if it’s still current, we simply add another four editions to your name – and you’ll be eligible for all the prizes. Buy a subscription for Christmas. Just let us know in the comments field whose name you want it under. Know an aspiring writer? Get them a subscription. Writers are poor but a subscription to a literary journal is a great boon to inspiration. Pass the word on to friends or colleagues about Overland and subscriberthon, either directly, or via social media. Remind any poets you know that the Judith Wright Poetry Prize offers $9000 to unpublished poets. If they act quickly, they can enter the comp, subscribe and go into the draw for prizes, all at a reduced rate. Make a donation. Overland is a not-for-profit organisation, so all donations are tax deductible and put to very good use. Spread the news about the two great opportunities for emerging editors: the paid internship and the editorship for the online fiction edition.
