So the Pope thinks that defending heterosexuality is as important as saving the world’s rainforests from destruction. He might equally have said that, like most religious leaders, he sees saving heterosexuality as far more important than the silly old environment.  Google Fight represents rather neatly his relative interest in the two topics.

Of course, it’s not just Catholicism. The Anglicans are on the verge of a schism about homosexuality. Can you imagine a religious split about, say, climate change?
