Laneway Learning hosts informal, accessible evening classes in a diverse range of topics. Magabala Books is Australia’s leading Indigenous publishing house. Mountain Goat is a pioneer of Australia’s craft beer scene, with their first beer hitting pubs back in 1997. Over twenty years on, they are still brewing beers unrestrained in flavour, technique and creativity. From Steam Ale, one of Australia’s first certified organic beers, through to bold limited releases and complex barrel-aged beers, there is a Mountain Goat beer for everyone.

Writing NSW exists to promote writing-based culture and the rights and interests of writers in NSW. Their mission is to make a difference to writers. Writing NSW brings aspirational, emerging, developing and established writers together as a community through the provision of a suite of writing programs and services that support, develop and promote a writing culture.

The NTWC offers an annual program of events (including a writers’ festival) and workshops with the aim of helping writers and aspiring writers develop skills and support networks, and showcase their skills to a wider audience. The NTWC is particularly committed to supporting writers from an Indigenous background, and to overcoming the impacts of geographical isolation experienced by people in the NT.

The Paperback Bookshop is an independent, general bookshop that was established in the early 1960s at the top of Bourke street. The original charter of the shop was to stock paperback editions of books that were not commonly available in Australia. We still stock such books, many of which have become classics but our interest is in good writing, wherever it’s to be found. Print Safari is a printmaking studio based at Abbotsford Convent. Here Holly and Ash design and print all of their fabrics and also teach a variety of print based workshops. Focusing on producing small runs of hand printed, loose fitting garments and lino kits for people to learn the art of printmaking from the comfort of their own home.

 The Queensland Writers Centre is a community that champions writers across Queensland. We help writers at all stages of their writing journey develop skills to improve their craft, engage their readers and build a sustainable career.  QWC is a not-for-profit membership organisation that supports, celebrates and showcases Queensland writers and writing in all its forms. Scribe is an independent trade-publishing house based in Melbourne and London that has been operating for more than 40 years. Scribe publishes books that matter – narrative and literary nonfiction in important topics, and the best of local, international, and translated fiction.

Southerly is one of Australia’s oldest continuous literary journals. The journal of the English Association, Sydney, it was launched in 1939 with works by authors such as AD Hope and Kylie Tennant. Southerly is published three times a year, both in print and digitally, and is complemented by a free online section, the Long Paddock. Our entire backlist is available online through the Informit Literature and Culture Collection. Their blog provides commentary and bibliophilic musings from a different writer each month. Operating since 1956, Westerly is a literary magazine based in Western Australia. The Magazine provides a Western Australian voice, and publishes material from across Australia and internationally. (Content and subject matter has never been geographically exclusive!) It publishes creative writing and essays in literary and cultural studies. With this mix, Westerly offers a diverse range of works in each issue and is especially interested in maintaining a strong presence of Indigenous content with the help of our Editor for Indigenous Writing, Elfie Shiosaki. The print magazine is published twice a year in July and November, while the website publishes content throughout the year, including two online special issues annually available for free digital download.

Wide Open Road has been roasting coffee out of their Brunswick headquarters since 2009. They consider Wide Open Road less of a company and more a collective of creatives, they seek to craft a product using all of their senses and with an eye toward aesthetics.
