The Paperback Bookshop is an independent, general bookshop that was established in the early 1960s at the top of Bourke street. Operating since 1956, Westerly is a literary magazine based in Western Australia. The Magazine provides a Western Australian voice, and publishes material from across Australia and internationally. With this mix, Westerly offers a diverse range of works in each issue and is especially interested in maintaining a strong presence of Indigenous content with the help of our Editor for Indigenous Writing, Elfie Shiosaki.
