Natasha Rai

Natasha, a Sydney-based Indian-Australian woman, was born in India, migrating to Australia with her parents at the age of ten. She lived in the UK for several years as an adult, and the influence of three homes feature in her writing. She explores inter-sectional feminism, trauma, cultural identity and searching for a place where race and gender don't matter. Her work has appeared in Australia’s first #MeToo anthology, published by Pan Macmillan, Verity La, StylusLit, and New York-based Adelaide magazine. Her first, unpublished, novel was longlisted for the Australian 2017 Richell Prize and 2018 KYD Unpublished Manuscript award.
