Murtaza Ali Jafari is a Hazara refugee from Afghanistan who fled to Australia in 2010, before spending over two years in Australian detention centres. He learned to draw in the Villawood detention centre. He has since shown in numerous exhibitions and published a zine with the Refugee Art Project.
