Joel Ephraims is a twenty-two-year-old poet, living on the south-east coast of NSW. He is studying Creative Writing at Wollongong University. In 2011 he won the Overland Judith Wright Poetry Prize for New and Emerging Poets. His main influences are John Ashbery and Gary Snyder. His favourite Australian poets are Gig Ryan and John Tranter. He aims to develop a unique poetry style which will delve into the natural, technological, and the human.
