200 launch party
Written by Jeff Sparrow on 5-09-2010
Thanks to everyone who helped send edition 200 off into the world at the Melbourne Writers' Festival. Lovely to see so many people, especially those from the online world. Don't have any crowd shots, unfortunately, but here's the three speakers. Onward and upward!

It was fun.
It’s great to see the photos because from the back I didn’t have a hope of catching a glimpse of anyone. Heard everything though. Great speech Jeff. And I met the wife of one of the original founders, Ralph de Boissiere, who died in 2008 at the age of 100. Annie, his widow, was there for many reasons, not least of which, was to fly the flag for him.
Yeah, gorgeous pics. So sorry not to have been there to hear the speeches – are they recorded anywhere?
Thanks to all for an enjoyable night. It was nice to meet everyone. Viva Meanjin! (oops..I mean, Overland!)Those of you who heard the speeches will know what I mean.
Great night and good to put put faces to names. Overland ‘moves forward’ in capable hands. And Jeff’s excellent speech was made without a note in sight!!!
